Customer Service Manager Jobs
The duties of customer service managers include recruiting, training, and managing a team of customer service executives; handling customer service issues; analyzing customer base demographics and reporting pertinent findings; maintaining and updating customer service policy manuals and ensuring that policies are followed; and coordinating with sales managers and logistics managers. Customer service managers also work to ensure that customers’ requests are responded to quickly and efficiently. In addition, they ensure the communication of promotional offers and benefits to regular and premium customers. Customer service managers may also be referred to as assistant customer service managers, senior customer service managers, marketing managers, marketing and customer service managers, or lead customer service executives. Applicants for customer service manager positions should have bachelor’s degrees, preferably in marketing or sales. Several years of experience in a customer service role may be expected. Experience managing or designing a brand management, customer loyalty, or customer retention program may be an asset.
