Operating Leases Are Not Uncommon For Computer Equipment Leasing

Any time you have rapid changes in technology, there is going to be faster turnover of equipment and rapid depreciation.  When upgrades are required, the business may not have any further use for the equipment and also have no economical way to dispose of the assets. This is where computer equipment leasing can take on an operating lease structure where the equipment gets returned to the leasing company at the end of the leasing term with no further obligations to the borrower.  The lessor is then responsible for disposing of the asset, but will also likely get the incremental borrowing required for the replacement assets.
