When people ask me the question, “Is there such a thing as a cancer prevention diet ?”, I say well, yes and no. What do I mean by that? Basically when it is suggested that there is a special diet that can help in the prevention of cancer, it really is just common sense. Eating healthily is all that is required. It is just that in today’s society we seem to have forgotten how to do that. There is a high demand for fast foods, which usually means processed foods with all kinds of additives in them and far too much sugar, fats and salt. We need to relearn the healthy habit of eating fresh foods – fruits, vegetables, fresh meat and organic dairy products. This will go a long way towards dramatically reducing the risk of getting cancer. and if you want to go further, yes, there are some herbs, teas and so called ‘superfoods’ that might also help on top of that. But get down to basics first.
