My sister and her family learned the hard way last year that bedbugs are more than a phrase from a silly children’s rhyme.  They are real little creatures that infest your bedding and prey upon the exposed arms and legs of whoever is sleeping there.  At first, they didn’t quite know what the problem was, but they figured it out when the children would wake up with bites after crashing mom and dad’s bed for the night.  They used some bedbugs spray to help get rid of the infestation out of the mattresses and bedrooms while they treated the bedding separately.

After a recent rain storm, we realized that our roof was leaking. We knew that the roof was over ten years old and we would be needing another one soon, but we kept putting it off. We have never had to replace a roof before, so we were ignorant as to where to start. Therefore, we went online to research the different types of roofing material available and to get an estimate of approximately how much money it was going to cost. We definitely wanted something that would be durable and of high quality, but we wanted to keep the cost down as much as possible.

I don’t think I will ever sell this house. It has sat on the market for almost two years now. The owners have all but given up on it selling. These are the times I hate being a real estate agent. This house needs a lot of work and does not have a lot of things going for it. An old kitchen, no closets and small bathtubs are just a few of the complaints I hear. I tell anyone who looks at it to make an offer because the owners are willing to negotiate. As of today no on has made an offer, I keep hoping it will be soon.

Welcome little Katie to your first “Groundhog Day”.  I just learned that Punxsutawney Phil emerged to see his shadow and this means we are due for another 6 weeks of winter.  German tradition holds that if a hibernating animal sees its shadow on Feb. 2, winter will last another six weeks (if no shadow is seen then spring is supposed to come early).  Judging from all the snow and ice outside I think the little groundhog is right.It’s raining outside today, but the ice is still here.  It will be real nasty if it happens to freeze.  Take a lot at the picture to the left.  I’m going to work from home today.I tried to put the blue onsie with the lion on little Katie this morning, but she was not be able to extend her legs.  Our daughter is getting bigger by the day.  It seems that she really started to grow in the last couple of days.A friend came over to see little Katie today.  Sometimes you have a hard time quieting little Katie down…this was not one of those times.  She slept through most of the visit.  She’s got a big night ahead of her of crying and keeping her parents up.

This is one of the best things I have ever seen. I am so excited about it that I have to tell everybody about it too. I have a company that does the best Utah timber framing in the world. They do everything so exquisitely and very quick too. But, I also have to say that their company in person is just so very joyful also. I have never had so much fun working with my employees and I would hire them again and again for their work and most especially for building a house for me if I happen to build another one. 

My youngest son just turned fifteen and he wants to get a summer job.  He really wants to mow yards for our neighbors and he told his father that he would take care of our lawn mowers and make sure that they were working properly.  I am glad that he is showing some initiative because many teenagers his age like to sit in front of a computer all day and he is proving that he wants to earn money instead.  He already has several clients lined up and I am sure that he will get even more as soon as everyone hears about his service.

What would I do without the internet to allow me to shop from home? I used to spend so much time just getting from store to store and then there was the parking lot to negotiate as well as the fact that most malls are not open past about nine in the evening, a time that I am just getting the chance to even think for myself after the work day. I knew that if I wanted to shop for the things I need, the net was the best answer for me. I found a site with beach wear that has all I want and need for our trip next month. What an amazing selection!

Rangemaster has always been a brand used by my family. When I started my own family, there was no question where I would shop for my kitchen stovetop. The company has managed to stay relevant and current in the products they carry and even though my range is newer than my mother’s she has yet to replace hers. She spouts ‘If it ain’t broke, why fix it? I know in my heart my kitchen range will last just as long as hers. It is an investment well worth the price. It leaves me with less to worry about in the kitchen. I’ll leave that to someone else.

A friend of mine who lives in pretty comparable living conditions as to what I am in recently bought a new dishwasher. I really did like everything about the model, which was a indesit idf125 by the way, but I just had one problem with it. The one that she has only comes in white. Is there any way that I can find out if future models, or possibly even older models, are available in a different color. It would just not fit in with the color scheme that I have going on in my kitchen but I really like the appliance.
