I don’t know much about building or maintaining a website, but I do know how to market one and make money. I purchased an established site about six months ago that was making a fair amount of money. I hired a designer to make some changes and switched to a managed hosting provider. Since I don’t need to make changes to the site and want it up and running as much as possible, this was the right answer for me. I realize this type of hosting account might not be right for everyone, but since I wanted it to run without any effort from me, this was the right solution.
