Mechanics of a Golf Swing Slice

One of the most common struggles with any golfer is the golf swing slice.  The slice occurs when the club path goes on an outside to inside course, striking the ball in a crossing action that creates clockwise spin on the ball.

The result is the slice action created by the spin taking over during the flight of the ball after contact.  The incorrect swing path is typically caused by the hips opening up too soon, or being ahead of the upper body, causing the chest to point away from the intended target instead of directly at it on impact.
